Fresh off a recent flop, television executive Gina Yaweth must act fast to satisfy an ever impatient and greedy audience, as well as save the network and her job. Enter lovable loser, Eldon Phelps. With little going for him and less to look forward to, Eldon is the ideal candidate to participate in Gina's latest programming premise. To thrill and titillate viewers, Gina is prepared to offer Eldon $1 million to spend however he chooses over the course of one week with a camera crew documenting his journey. The only catch; when the money runs out, so does Eldon's time. After 7 days, the audience decides how the rags to riches Mr. Phelps will meet his maker. With a lot of fun to be had and some unexpected loose ends to tie up before is demise, Eldon and his new public following find themselves faced with even more drama and excitement than they bargained for.
