Wow. I cannot believe how successful our first attempt Giving Hearts Day was. We went into it without any expectations, so we set a modest goal that we hoped could be met with a little encouragement.

We clearly set the bar too low; we blew past our goal by noon, and proceeded to raise twice as much as we had hoped.

We are in awe at the response of this community, and we know that Matthew Burkholder would be so proud. We did this for you, buddy. We miss you.

So today, we say thank you. Thank you for supporting us every day of the year. For coming to shows, for telling your friends, for donating money on special days like yesterday. Thank you.

The best part: the final count from The Impact Foundation was over $3.6 million in donations to local nonprofits. That’s incredible. You’re incredible. Thank you.
